Back in the summer of 1983, Stacy, the designer of 30 Park Rocks, was on a trip in Europe. In Paris, traveling with a friend, they visited her friend’s cousin. At Sheila and Frederic’s farm house, hung a huge painting by Sheila. Stacy fell in love with it. It was a painting on canvas, covered with a sheer patterned veil. You can see the painting from a distance, but the closer you got to the canvas, you saw additional textures on the veil. This was probably the first influence that ultimately resulted in the designs of Messh Concepts and now, 30 Park Rocks, and every piece is handmade just for you!
In 1988, still thinking of that great painting, Stacy created mesh jewelry under the name “Messh Concepts”. For the next 25 years, she wore the designs, regularly getting compliments and queries from people. Over the years, she would make single pieces for herself to wear with outfits. Friends would ask for gifts of her creations. Strangers would offer to buy the pieces off her neck. In 2012, friends in the jewelry business suggested she return to making her mesh jewelry. 30 Park Rocks was born. 30 Park Rocks is about texture, colour and movement. The designs are a mix of both, with various types of crystals and beads floating inside the different sizes of mesh and ornamented outside. They are fun to wear, they live and move, stand out on their own and can work well during the day or going out at night. They are guaranteed to make others look at you. The first inclination of people when they see the designs is to ask to touch it. It squishes! It is lightweight and flexible. Then they fall in love and have to have at least one. Now it’s your turn........... 30 Park Rocks is perfect travel jewelry. Our designs are sophisticated and resemble expensive jewelry, but their lightweight and packable attributes make them easier and safer to travel with. You could wear them with tee shirts or evening gowns anywhere in the world. You will look fabulous wherever you are! People are individual and so is the jewelry they like to wear. We are always open to creating a custom piece for you! Just contact us to ask about a design. [email protected] or 212-447-1418. |
